Contract Maintenance
The backbone of the business. A maintenance contract sets out exactly what gets done and how often, then it simply happens — grass, edges, beds, hedges, hard surfaces and waste, on an agreed round through the year. It suits anyone who would rather external estate management was somebody else's diary problem: households with more garden than time, landlords and agents looking after let property, and commercial sites where the grounds are the first thing a visitor sees.

Regular Visits & Grass Cutting
Regular maintenance is a fixed-price service for an agreed number of visits during the year, so you know the cost in advance and there are no surprise invoices in July. Lawns are cut at a height that suits the season rather than scalped to the same setting every time, edges are kept sharp against beds and paths, and the clippings go with us. Fortnightly through the growing season and tapering off over winter is the usual shape, but the round is built around your garden.
03Service
Single Visit Tidies
Sometimes gardens just get out of control. You might be moving into a new house, or be a landlord or a tenant, and need help getting to grips with your garden before an inspection, a viewing or a family weekend. A single visit tidy is exactly that: we come once, do the work agreed in the quote, take the waste away and leave you to sit back and enjoy the garden. If you want us back, we are there; if you don't, that's fine too.

Garden Clearance
We will tackle overgrown gardens and get them back to a manageable state, bag it up and take it away. Brambles, self-seeded saplings, collapsed shrubs, years of leaf litter and whatever is hiding underneath it all — clearance is heavy, dirty work, and it is far easier handed over than tackled with a borrowed strimmer on a Sunday. Once the ground is visible again we can tell you honestly what is worth keeping and what is better replaced.

Hedge Cutting
Hedges are what most people notice first, and they are the job most often left too long. We cut formal and informal hedges to a clean, level line at a height that keeps them thick rather than bare at the base, and we work around nesting season. We will always clean up after ourselves, even sweeping pavements and driveways as needed, and dispose of the hedge trimmings in an environmental and responsible way.

Pruning
Pruning is the job where timing matters more than effort. Cut the wrong stem in the wrong month and you lose a year of flower; cut well and the plant comes back thicker and healthier. We prune shrubs, roses, climbers and small trees to how each one actually grows, thinning and shaping rather than shearing everything to the same box, so borders keep their structure instead of slowly turning into a row of stumps.

Planting Schemes
A planting scheme is the difference between a border that fills out and one that needs replacing in two years. We plan planting around what the site will actually support — the light it gets, the soil it sits on, the exposure it takes — and around how hands-on you want to be. Beds are prepared properly before anything goes in, plants are set at the right spacing to grow into rather than out of, and the scheme is written down so it can be maintained by whoever looks after it next.

Turfing
A new lawn is only ever as good as the ground underneath it. We strip out what is there, level and improve the soil, then lay fresh turf butted tight so the joins knit rather than shrink open. You get watering and first-cut instructions with it, because the fortnight after laying decides whether a lawn roots properly or sits on the surface. Where a lawn can be rescued rather than replaced, we will tell you that instead.

Rockeries
Rockeries earn their place on the slopes, banks and thin dry corners where a lawn is a nuisance and a border struggles. We set stone so it looks bedded into the ground rather than dropped on top of it, build in the free drainage alpines need, and plant for something in flower or in leaf across most of the year. They are also, once established, among the lowest-maintenance things you can have in a garden.

Patios
Most failed patios failed underneath. We excavate to the right depth, lay and compact a sub-base, and set paving to a fall that takes water away from the house rather than towards it. Slabs, setts and paths are cut and jointed neatly, with levels stepped down from the door as building regulations expect. The finish gets the attention, but the two days of groundworks before it are what keep a terrace flat ten winters later.

Fencing & Walling
Fencing is usually a boundary question as much as a garden one, so we start by agreeing exactly where the line runs and who owns it. Posts are concreted to depth, panels or closeboard set to a straight run whatever the ground does, and gates hung so they still close in August. Low garden walling — retaining a bank, edging a terrace, rebuilding a collapsed section — is handled the same way, on foundations rather than on hope.

Weed & Moss Control
Hard surfaces are where neglect shows quickest and where it actually becomes a hazard. We carry out effective treatment of these sites to control and remove weeds and moss, keeping areas free of trip or slip hazards — ideal for driveways and patios, and important on commercial sites and communal areas where someone has a duty of care. Treated on a schedule it is a small recurring job; left for three years it becomes a pressure-washing project.

Waste Removal
Green waste removal is included as standard on maintenance visits and quoted into project work, so the job ends with the garden clean rather than with a heap of bags by the gate waiting for a tip run you never get round to. Clippings, prunings, turf, cleared growth and spoil all go with us and are disposed of in an environmental and responsible way.

Cleared up and taken away
We clean up after ourselves, sweeping pavements and driveways where needed, and take the arisings away to be disposed of responsibly. You are left with a finished garden, not a pile of bags by the gate.
